Royal Albert Hospital Lancaster Nurse Training School,RNMS Trio
A trio of Badges awarded to the same nurse for Registered Nurse Mental Subnormality Training in the 1970s.
The first is a silver and enamel badge for the Royal Albert Hospital NTS in Lancaster.On a Blue enamel shield it features the hospital building itself(closed in 1996 and now an Islamic girls school).In good condition except for some surface scratches,it has a buttonhole back fixing ,as issued to male nurses.It carries a makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Limited Birmingham and is hallmarked TF for Birmingham 1956.It is named for J J Fagan Feb 1974.Height 33mm
The second item is a General Nursing Council for England & Wales chrome and enamel registration badge.This is in good overall condition with pin and clasp good.It is engraved RNMS(Registered Nurse Mental Subnormality) 10198.GNC badges were no longer named to the individual from around the mid 1970s but merely had the registration number.Height 27mm
The third badge is a members dress badge for the Royal College of Nursing.In very good condition.height 39mm
