Harrogate & District General Hospital/RCN members badge/ ICN trio
A trio of badges from the same nurse's career.The first is a silver and enamel badge from the Harrogate & District Hospital.Bearing the arms of Harrogate above the motto Semper Paratus-Always Ready.This is in good condition with only very minor surface scratches,Pin and clasp are intact .Engraved for Margaret MacFarlane 15.12.32 to 7.1.36.Hallmarked for G&S Co Ltd (Goldsmiths & Silversiths Company Limited)Birmingham 1934.Height 31mm
The second badge is a silver and enamel members badge for the Royal College of Nursing,of the pattern issued during the wartime years 1939-46.In white metal (marked Sterling )with the intertwined letters RCN topped by the King's Crown.It retains it's pin and clasp and is marked for the maker J R Gaunt London.It bears the membership number 33542 Height 33mm
The last badge is a commemorative piece for the 1937 London Conference of the International Council of Nurses.The chrome badge features the initials ICN above a scroll bearing 1937 and a stylised nurses lamp.height 27mm
