Barnet General Hospital,Silver Nurses badge

A Silver and enamel nurses badge from Barnet General Hospital.It consists of a Greek cross topped with a mural crown upon which is a well,referring to it's previous name of Well House Hospital.To the centre is a Rose,surrounded by a garter belt in red enamel bearing the hospital title.On each arm of the cross is a recumbent stag,the stag being the symbol of Hertfordshire.All of this is backed with a small blue and white enamel rosette.Overall a pretty badge.Condition is good .The pin,clasp and safety catch are all good and a silver safety chain is in place Silver hallmarks for Vaughton & Sons Birmingham 1952 height 39mm
