A base metal and enamel nurses badge for Ophthalmic Training at the Nottingham Eye Hospital.This is the second pattern badge and may date from the 1980s when the hospital became part of the Queen's Medical Centre site?
It features a red Geneva cross imposed on a circle depicting unity and eternity.On this is superimposed a flaming torch symbolising light.Below this is the motto "Post Tenebras Lux"-After Darkness Light.In very good condition, pin and clasp good.Unmarked to rear
