General Nursing Council For England & Wales,Pair of State Enrolled Assistant Nurse Badges

An interestesting pair of badges awarded to the same nurse,.They are from the GNC for England & Wales and consist of a SEAN badge from 1948 and a similarly named and dated Duplicate.They are both named to M Barnes SEAN 21342 27.9.46.This is Marjorie Barnes,nee Halfpenny,resident in Mansfield.In slightly different colours of brass and enamel,the darker model is engraved Duplicate.I assume that this lady may have mislaid her original badge and so applied for a replacement.At some stage her original badge must have been found.The pin on one badge appears to be a replacement but otherwise condition is good.
