A brass and enamel Nurses badge from the Nottingham & Midland Eye Infirmary.The infirmary opened in 1859 and this was the first pattern of badge awarded.the design shows a golden sun with encircling rays on a light blue background.the motto Post Tenebras Lux-After darkness light appears on the sun.Unmarked to rear.Good overall condition.Height 32mm
