One of two badges from the Western Ophthalmic Hospital,Marylebone Road,London.This one being awarded for the SEN form of ophthalmic training.In 1948 the Hospital became part of the St Mary's Hospital Paddington Teaching group.
The Octagonal badge in green enamel on silver features a young girl holding a lamp and dates to the 1970s.In very good condition with pin and clasp intact.Marked to rear Silver Spink London,Engraved for E Young 1970,Height 27mm
