This popular badge is one of the standard smaller pattern of model made by John Pinches of London.It features the classic design of the three feathers and central LH imposed upon the red and white enamelled cross.In very good condition,the pin and clasp are intact and a silver safety chain is present.Makers mark to rear for J Pinches London.Engraved for Irene Whitehead March 1930-May 1933 July 1934. Height 35mm
The leather covered wooden presentation box is lined in silk and velvet with John Pinches London to the inner lid.The outside has The London Hospital School of Nursing and the hospital crest in Gold to the top.Several areas of wear, particularly to the base.
