Bath Royal United Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge and GNC Pair

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training during the Second World War.The first is a silver and enamel Nurses badge from the Royal United Hospital Bath,It features the three overlapping shields bearing the Geneva Red Cross,Arms of Bath and the Royal Standard.Condition is good although there is slight enamel loss above the red cross . Pin is a temporary replacement and loose,a hook for a security chain is in place.Vendors mark for Gilmer Bath.Silver hallmarks for AF(Anthony Fattorini) Birmingham1943 Height 32mm
Accompanying this is a chrome and enamel badge from the General Nursing Council for England & Wales.This is engraved for M Akroyd SRN 125534 23.6.44.Condition good. Height 28mm
Margaret Akroyd is recorded on the GNC register as having trained at the Royal United Hospital Bath from 1940-43.
