London County Council,South Eastern Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge
Another of the the popular London County Council Hospital Nurses badges issued between 1930 and 1948.This one is for the South Eastern Hospital.Originally one of the Metropolitan Asylum Board Isolation Hospitals at Deptford it came under the control of the LCC,later becoming New Cross Hospital
The badge features the blue enamelled cross with central shield bearing the LCC crest,this one on a white enamel background.There is minor damage to the arm of the cross,particularly a chip to the tip of the left arm.The crest is good.The pin and safety roller catch are both good.Silver hallmarks for Fattorini & Sons,Birmingham 1931.Height 31mm
