Ladywell Hospital Salford,Silver Nurses badge

A scarce silver pendant nurses badge from the Ladywell Hospital Salford.Based on Eccles New Road,the Hospital was primarily for infectious Diseases and I understand that they offered training for the State Enrolled Nurse course and the certificate of the British Tuberculosis Association.The large lozenge shaped badge bears an image of a female saint above water(? The lady and the well naming the area?).The hospital title appears on a white band around the edge.The latin motto Non Sibi Sed Aliis-Not For Themselves But For Others.This is suspended from a plain silver bar brooch.Condition is reasonable although the enamel has one or two knocks.The bar brooch fixing was damaged and a poor replacement has been added at some stage.The rear is marked for M Dutton 1962.It bears hallmarks for TJS Birmingham 1962.Height 55mm
