The Hospital for Sick Children,Great Ormond Street London,Silver Nurses Badge and GNC Badge

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for Registered Sick Children's Nursing at Great Ormond Street Hospital.The first is a chrome and enamel '" Hygeia" badge from the General Nursing Council for England & Wales.In good condition this is named to F M Reed RSCN 6987 26.11.48. This is Francis Mabel Reed who is shown on the register as having trained at GOSH from 1945 to 1948.
The second is a silver and enamel badge from The Hospital For Sick Children Great Ormond Street London.Two areas of damage to the enamel, to the bottom edge.Please refer to the photographs for detail. Named to the rear F M Reed 1949, hallmarks for Fattorini & Son Birmingham 1946.Safety chain in situ.Height 28mm
