Western Infirmary Glasgow School of Nursing Silver Nurses Badge

A large silver and enamel badge from the Glasgow Western Infirmary School of Nursing.Featuring a shield topped by the Lamp of Learning over a Scottish thistle.The shield is halved with the left side bearing the Rod of Asclepius a V I and a thistle.,The right side bears the arms of Glasgow.Generally good condition with majority of enamel intact(some loss to pattern on rim but this seems common with this particular badge.) Pin is present although slightly loose.Marked to rear for 312 Silver hallmarks for Vaughtons and Sons and year letter for 1918.Height 55mm
