A Brass & Enamel Badge for The Old Manor Hospital Salisbury.Originally the largest private asylum in England it was taken into the NHS,closing in 2003. See; http://salisburyhealthcarehistory.uk/old-manor-hospital/
This badge is of a brass and enamel construction,similar to the RMN chrome version .It features a shield which has the spire of Salisbury Cathedral(well loved by Russians!) and blue wavy lines depicting the river Avon and famous water meadows. I believe that this dates to the 1960s.The enamel is slightly discoloured at the bottom left but otherwise in reasonable condition.Makers mark for Vaughtons B'Ham 3.Height 35mm
