Western Hospital Doncaster,Nurses Badge

A brass and enamel nurses badge from the Doncaster Western Hospital. This was originally the Doncaster Poor Law Workhouse but became a Geriatric and Maternity hospital after 1948 before it was eventually demolished in 1974.This badge dates to the late 1950s/early 60s and features the castle from the city's coat of arms.Condition is good although pin is slightly bent.Scratched to rear is K Oakes.This is Kathleen Oakes who was entered onto the roll in august 1961 Height 25mm
