The County Council of Middlesex,Prize Medal and Redhill County Hospital Silver badge pair.
A pair of badges awarded to the same male nurse for his training in the 1940s. The first is a superb silver cased medal issued by the County Council of Middlesex.it consists of a hexagonal medal bearing the three seaxes crest of Middlesex.This is suspended from an original blue silk ribbon with a pin back fixing brooch.Height of medal is 49mm,with ribbon drop 99mm.Engraved on the rear;Awarded to Reginald Thomas Lewis on attaining second place in Middlesex County Hospitals Examination March 1948 .Marked Silver.Comes in its own silk lined case(in good condition).A really impressive piece and I would love to know what the First Prize looked like!!
Accompanying this is a silver hospitals badge for Redhill County Hospital, once again featuring the three Seaxes. This has moderate surface rubbing but otherwise good.Pin and clasp intact.Named for R T Lewis 1948.Height 33mm
