An extremely large and bronze Nurses badge for the St Mary Islington Infirmary.This was the Workhouse Infirmary on Highgate Hill which later became the Whittington Hospital.The design features the Madonna and Child.It went by this name between 1900 and 1930 and this badge dates to that period.The condition is good with mostly original patina .The Pin is original.Height 51mm
This is one of the largest of all the Nursing badges being even larger than the Princess Christian Army Nursing badge.This particular version is of a solid bronze construction A really Impressive piece!
