Archway Group,Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel badge ,from the Archway Group London from the early days of the NHS.The group consisted of the Whittington,Hornsey Central,Mildmay Memorial and New End Hospitals as well as the Alexandra Maternity Home,Home for Confirmed Invalids and Santa Claus Home for Sick Children.
The central motif features a design based upon the original Archway bridge,designed by John Nash in 1813.In excellent unissued condition .The pin,clasp and safety roller catch are all in good order.Makers marks for F&S (Fattorini & Sons) Birmingham 1949. Height 30mm
