Order of St John,WW1/ WW2 Medal Group

An interesting medal group to Edgar Harry Norman from the First and Second World Wars and his service with St John Ambulance.
He enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps at Cork on the 23rd Sept 1914 and served at the RAMC training centre until September 1916 reaching the rank of Sergeant.He was discharged to accept a commission and became a 2nd Lieutenant in the Loyal North Lancs Regiment.He was attached to the 1st Trench Mortar Battery and was taken prisoner on the 18th April 1918 at Givenchy.Post war he settled in Morecambe Lancs and served in the local division of St John.
The items are ; a Serving Brother medal of the order of St John in silver and enamel.The reverse has a large piece of enamel loss. The WW1 War and Victory medal pair are both named to 2 Lieut E H Norman .The WW2 Defence medal is unnamed as is usual with this.The last item is a silver service medal of the Order of St John with the addition of 5 service bars(each representing 5 years of service).These come with some documentation of research.
