The London Hospital,Nurses badge trio

A trio of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training during World War Two.The first is a silver and enamel badge for the London Hospital in Whitechapel.The badge was first designed in 1929 and a large pattern issued until 1933.Complaints about the large size whose weight strained the starched aprons led to it being replaced by this smaller more traditional badges shortly after that. Condition is very good although with some surface wear. Pin and clasp are good.Named for Eileen M Sandford Sept 1936-Sept 1939 Oct 1940 London Hospital Makers mark for J Pinches London Height 35mm
The second item is the matching silver and enamel badge of the General Nursing Council for England & Wales.In excellent condition with pin clasp and safety chain all good.Named for EM Sandford SRN 102339 26.1.40,
The third item is a silver and enamel badge for the Civil Nursing Reserve.
The shield shape badge is topped by a crown.Makers mark for A Bros B'ham Sterling Silver.
