A base metal and enamel pendant badge for Greenwich & Bexley Area School of Midwifery. The Area group school was established from the British Hospital For Mothers & Babies,The Greenwich District Hospital,Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup and the memorial Hospital Shooters Hill.The badge was first presented in 1977 and features the white horse of Kent on a red background below which is a scroll with the motto NOS SERVIRE DOCEMUR- We train to serve.Around the edge one a blue band are the roman numerals for the 24 hours of the clock, associated with the Greenwich meridian.Generally good condition with minor wear to the plated finish but no enamel loss.Pin and clasp intact.Height 51mm
