Horton Hospital School of Nursing,Silver RMN Badge

A silver and enamel Mental Nurses Badge for the Horton Hospital Epsom.One of the five psychiatric hospitals in the Epsom cluster, situated to the west of the town, it finally closed in 1997.The circular badge has a central motif of the lamp of learning on a circlet of rays.The hospital title appears on a blue band and this is surrounded by a wreath of laurel leaves.Condition is excellent.The rear has a buttonhole back fixing as worn by male nurses.Named for R W Miller 1970.
