A painted wooden shield shaped wall plaque featuring the emblem of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.It depicts the snake of healing intertwined with a Thistle with the motto Auspice Caelo-By the Favour of Heaven,which featured on the wall of the Infirmary on Castle Street.Condition is generally good with only minor abrasions to the edges of the shield which should polish out.Fixing for wall suspension to the rear.Height 175mm width 150mm
