Nottingham City Infirmary,Silver Nurses Badge
Originally the Workhouse Infirmary at Bagthorpe,it changed it's name to the City Infirmary in 1929.This name was to change to the more familiar Nottingham City Hospital in 1934.Thus this pattern of badge was in use for a short time only. It Takes the form of a shield with the intertwined NCI and the motto Finis Coronat Opus-The end crowns the work.
The face has only very minor surface scratches ,and is in an excellent condition.The rear is hallmarked for 1930, makers mark JWT for J W Tiptaft & Sons Ltd.Height 27mm
