London Jewish Hospital,silver Nurses Badge

A rare silver nurses badge from the London Jewish Hospital which was located at Stepney Green in the East End between 1917 and 1979.The badge takes the form of six pointed Star of David with a voided centre, with details in pale blue enamel.There n are several surface scratches and minor chips to the enamelling but the pin and clasp are intact with a safety chain applied.Height 27mm Hallmarked for Mappin & Webb Ltd,Birmingham 1954
