St Andrew's Hospital Bow / GNC pair of badges.

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse, namely a General Nursing Council for England & Wales chrome and enamel badge.This is engraved for Y B P Hughes-Lamb SRN392475 26.3.68 .She is shown in the GNC register as Yvonne Bryony Pauline Hughes-Lamb who trained at the St Andrew's Hospital Bow.Very good condition.
The second is a white metal and enamel badge for St Andrew's Hospital.Originally the Poplar & Stepney Sick Asylum it was to be managed by the Metropolitan Asylums Board and changed its name to St Andrew's in the 1920s.The shield shape design of the badge bears a St Andrew's cross on pale blue enamel with a smaller shield to the centre.On this is a depiction of the gates and ship which portray the Docks at Poplar, the major employer of the area.Condition is very good with no enamel damage and pin and clasp good.Height 32mm
