Cane Hill Hospital,Mental Nurses Badge

An original Chrome metal and enamel mental nurses badge from Cane Hill Hospital at Coulsdon.Originally opened as the Third Surrey County Pauper Lunatic Asylum it was renamed as Cane Hill Hospital in 1930. It bears the hospital motto Aversos Compono Animos-I Bring Relief to Troubled Minds. In very good condition with pin, clasp and safety roller catch all good.Makers mark for Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham.This dates it to between 1945 to 1954.Height 32mm
