Westminster Children's Hospital,Nurses Badge

A base metal and enamel nurses badge from the Westminster Children's Hospital in Vincent Square,Westminster.Originally named the Infants Hospital it was renamed the Westminster Children's Hospital in 1946 until it's closure in 1995.
The badge features the swaddled baby on a blue background,taken from the original 15th Century plaques on the Foundling Hospital in Florence.Condition good with no enamel damage but some wear to the plated finish. The pin and clasp are a temporary replacement.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham, which dates this to between 1964 and 1983.Height 36mm
