A white metal and enamel nurses badge from the Infants Hospital in Vincent Square,Westminster.Originally named the Infants Hospital it was later renamed the Westminster Children's Hospital in 1946, so this badge must predate that
The badge features the swaddled baby on a blue background,taken from the original 15th Century plaques on the Foundling Hospital in Florence.This is above a scroll bearing the hospital title flanked by IH.Very good condition with pin and clasp good.Makers mark for J R Gaunt London.Height 34mm . First time that I have seen this particular design
