St Lukes Hospital Rugby,Silver SEN Badge

A large silver and enamel state Enrolled Nurses Training school badge from St Lukes Hospital Rugby.The green Greek cross with a white border has a central disc overlaid which bears an image of St Luke holding a snake.He is the patron saint of Medicine and a serpent has long been a symbol of health care.Some enamel damage to the tips of the cross and minor surface scratches but generally good.The pin is present although bent but the safety catch has lost its roller.I would recommend against wearing this until this is repaired. named to the rear for E Downes April 1973,silver hallmarks for 1972.Height 42mm
