A silver and enamel Nurses badge for Graylingwell Hospital Chichester.Originally the West Sussex County Asylum it was renamed Graylingwell after the first world war.The design features a blue shield with six gold martlets for the county of Sussex.A red outer band bears the motto Tenax et Fidelis- Persistent and Faithful.A top blue bar with Graylingwell Hospital and lower band bearing with Chichester are also featured,Good overall condition with minor enamel damage to the top bar.Pin and clasp intact but pin is loose.Silver hallmarks for F&S Birmingham 1963 Height 38mm
