A silver and enamel badge for the Sorrento Maternity Hospital,Moseley, Birmingham.It features a design of oak leaves and acorns depicting fertility and the motto Nil Absque Labore- Nothing without Labour ( not a reference to Maternity but rather the Adams family motto of the original owners of the house.)
Good condition but very minor surface scratches to the enamel .Pin and safety clasp intact, named to A Ahmad, Hallmarked for the Birmingham Medal & Badge Company Birmingham 1978.Height 29mm
