The Middlesex Hospital Nurses League, silver nurses badge & GNC pair.

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training during the Second World War.The first is in chrome and enamel for the General Nursing Council For England & Wales.This is named for E H Scholte SRN 110722 27.6.41.Good condition pin and clasp intact.This is Elaine Hilda Scholte who is shown in the register as having trained at the Middlesex Hospital 1938-41( B.1918 Glasgow D.1996 Frimley)
The second item is the matching silver and enamel badge for the Middlesex Hospital Nurses League.The Middlesex Hospital was one of those that did not originally award a hospital badge,as such,to its finalists.Rather they often received the badge of the Hospital's Nurses League,set up in 1931.This badge features the arms and motto of the Hospital "MIseris Succurrere Disco" meaning "I Learn(or Endeavour) to succour the unfortunate"
Condition is generally good but there are several nibbles to the enamel around the edge.Pin and clasp are good.Engraved for E H Scholte 1938-42.Hallmarked for C&F Birmingham 1941 Height 29mm
