Glasgow & Western Scotland Cooperation of Nurses,Silver Nurses Badge

A scarce silver and enamel pendant badge from the Glasgow and Western Scotland Cooperation of Nurses.The design features a white cross of Saint Andrew on which is imposed a disc of a red Greek cross on a white background within a blue border which bears the title Glasgow & Western Scotland Cooperation of Trained Nurses.This has a figure of Saint Mungo to the top.
Founded in 1893,the badge is hallmarked for 1924 and looks to have had a pendant mounting at one stage.29mm tall
