Cased Badge of Nightingale School of Nursing St Thomas's Hospital

Another exquisite example of one of the most sought after Nursing Badges ever issued, that of the Nightingale School of Nursing at St Thomas' Hospital.
This silver badge, in it's own original leather presentation case, is in an excellent original condition .It is named to Joyce E Nicholson nee Stevenson with the year 1922 ,This is Joyce Elaine Stevenson who is shown in the GNC Register as having trained at St Thomas's Hospital from 1917 to 1921.

This badge is a fine example of top quality.The enamel is very good but with some very minor enamel damage to several of the tips.This does not detract from the overall appearance.Pin and clasp intact but loose.It comes in it's own leather box with silk lining from John Pinches London, which has hardly any surface scratches but some corner wear
