All Saint's Hospital Birmingham,Silver Mental Nurses Badge

A very nice silver and enamel nurses badge for what had been the Birmingham City Asylum. Located at Winsom Green in the city, the hospital had opened in 1850 and finally closed in 2000.
The design features a central red Greek cross overlaying green foliage? A yellow nursing Lamp of learning appears in the centre.The hospital title appears around the edge.Excellent condition with pin etc all good.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Regent street Birmingham.Silver hallmarks for TF Birmingham 1982.Height 32mm
