Nunquam non Paratus, Midwifery training badges

A pair of early badges for Midwifery Training. The first is a Bronze pendant badge which I believe was a Privately purchased generic Nursing/Midwifery badge. These appear to have been bought by Nurses across a range of Hospitals which did not issue their own badges. Many were then engraved with the either the initials of the nurse or details of the training hospital,as in this case. They have been identified with date ranges from circa 1905 to the 1920s.They are found in two sizes and this is the smaller of those.
The shield shaped badge bears an image of Florence Nightingale with her lamp and a feeding cup.The motto Nunquam Non Paratus-Never Unprepared. This is suspended from a bronze pin back bar which is engraved Ormond Training School London. The rear is engraved for Florence Annie Parkes Certificated Maternity Nurse Midwife LOS CMB( London Obstetric School/Central Midwives Board) Makers marks for G Kenning & son London. Florence Annie Parkes is shown on the Midwives roll as having registered on March 23rd 1905 and with the London Obstetric Society on 24th November 1904,residing in Chelsea.
The second item is a small brass shield shaped badge with the initials TMNA which are for the Trained Maternity Nurses Association. This is engraved on the rear for Florence Annie Parkes August 14 1912.Good condition with pin and clasp intact 28mm
