A pair of badges to the same nurse for State Enrolled Nurse training in the 1970s.
The first item is a bronze and enamel General Nursing Council For England & Wales Badge,It is engraved SEN 167046.Condition fair with some damage to enamel/
The second items a silver and enamel badge for Nevill Hall hospital in Abergavenny, Wales. These badges were first issued on 17.11.1968,and were selected from a competition for the new school.The Red Cross depicts the Hospital ,the daffodil Wales. The horse links with the Nevill Family and is taken from a stone horse on the arch of a stable building on the original estate.The Portcullis is part of the arms of Abergavenny,"the gateway to Wales".The serpent and staff depict Medical practice.In good overall condition but the clasp is missing its safety roller catch and the pin is stuck.Named for M A Spackman 1975 Height 30mm
