A white metal and enamel nurses badge for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital For Children,Hackney Road.Founded in 1867,In 1942 the Hospital amalgamated with the Princess Elizabeth of York Hospital for Children in Glamis Road, Shadwell, to form the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children. The design features a Thames barge taken from the badge for the East London Children's Hospital on a rose pattern,crowned with a King's crown.Good condition,pin, clasp and safety roller catch all good. Hallmarked to rear for AR&S Birmingham 1954 Height 45mm
