Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, Porcelain Figure Sister

One of a pair of Porcelain Nurse figurines that were commissioned for the Nurses League of the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast.This one features the Sister in her distinctive Red uniform with white starched Apron and frilly cap.On the apron to the right breast she wears the badge of the RVH School of Nursing.She stands on a circular plinth.The whole figure stands approximately 8 and a half inches/215mm tall.To the base it is marked for Francesca Fine Bone China,"Sister" Commissioned by League of Nurses,Hoggs Model Number 8.It carries the signature of K Taylor 91( I presume the artist ).A rare figure in very good condition with no chips,flaws or blemishes.
