The Cedars Hospital Nottingham, Silver Nurses Badge

A silver and enamel oval pendant badge from the Nottingham & Ilkeston Group Training Schools.I have been unable to find out much about this particular Group training school but it appears to have covered certain hospitals in the Nottingham area.This badge has a bar name for the Cedars hospital which was a pre Convalescent Hospital attached to NGH.A similar badge named for Highbury Hospital also exists.The design appears to feature a coat of arms consisting of local crests,topped by the Stag of Derbyshire above the latin motto E minimus Magma-from the Least to the Greatest.overall condition is good but with some nibbling to the enamel at the bottom left.Pin and clasp good.Named to EF Thompson ,hallmarked TF Birmingham 1968.height 55mm
