Marston Green Maternity Hospital Birmingham, silver midwives badge

A nice crisp silver and enamel badge from the Marston Green Maternity Hospital,Birmingham.The design features the crest of Birmingham on a shield imposed upon a multicoloured Maple leaf.This alludes to the origins of the hospital as a 700 bedded Canadian War Hospital before it became a Maternity Hospital in 1948.In excellent condition,pin,clasp and safety roller all good order.Silver hallmarks for HWM Birmingham 1989 Height 29mm
