The London Hospital Whitechapel, Silver Nurses badge

A popular badge for the London Hospital Whitechapel,this is one of the standard smaller pattern of model made by John Pinches of London.It features the classic design of the three feathers and central LH imposed upon the red and white enamelled cross.In very good condition but with some minor surface wear, the pin and clasp are intact.Makers mark to rear for J Pinches London.Engraved for Eleanor L Woodcock Jan 1946-Jan 1948 London Hospital.This is Eleanor Louisa Woodcock who is shown on the GNC register as having undertaken the shorter two year training ass she had previously undertaken her RSCN training at the Royal Liverpool Childrens Hospital from 1942-45(Sadly that badge is missing).
