A base metal and enamel nurses badge for the British Association of Plastic Surgery Nurses.Founded in 1963,based at St Andrew's Hospital Billericay Essex,these badges were first issued in 1968.Designed by members of the association,the relief represents the Egyptian queen Nefertiti( a Woman of Perfection).The motto Ad Perfectionem-Towards,Perfection and the initials BAPSN for British Association of Plastic Surgery Nurses.Good condition with minor surface scratches,pin and clasp good.Makers mark for Thomas Fattorini Regent Street Birmingham.Height 32mm
