Silver two piece Merfolk & Sea Monster Buckle,FOR DISPLAY ONLY

A lovely but badly damaged and fragile silver two piece buckle.Made from very thin silver it is unsuitable for wear but is an interesting piece for the collector for display only.It takes the form of classical Merfolk or men with fishtails who appear to be wrestling with dragons or sea monsters.There are two fractures to the right hand piece, as pictured.Hallmarked for BM (B Muller) 1897 London(it also carries a letter F but I do not believe this signifies a date of 1881 but may relate to import marks?)
