Bristol Homeoepathic Hospital ,Nurses Badge

A rare nurses badge for training at one of the few Homeoepathic Hospitals across the UK.The base metal pendant badge has a pin back suspension bar with Bruce Wills Memorial.This was for the new hospital which was opened in 1925 having been fully endowed by Mr. W. Melville Wills who purchased Cotham House as a site for a new building to be erected as a memorial to his son Captain Bruce Melville Wills who had been killed in action in 1915.
The medal itself is an oval with the initials BHH for Bristol Homeoepathic Hospital within a border of a garter belt and laurel leaves.Condition is generally good.Engraved to the rear 135548 A E Sharpe SRN Sept 1945. Height 44mm
