Monsall Hospital Manchester,Nurses badge

A Base metal and enamel nurses badge from Monsall Hospital Manchester,probably dating to the 1980s.The badge takes the shape of the red Rose of Lancashire with a central emblem of Manchester's coat of arms,the motto being Consilatore et Labore-By Counsel and Work.The hospital title appears on a blue enamel band around the edge.The hospital finally closed in 1993.
Unmarked to the rear .Very good condition with no enamel damage, pin, clasp and safety roller catch are all good.From the style of roller catch I believe this badge will date to the 1950s
