Gwent School of Nursing Newport,silver Nurses/GNC pair

A pair of badges awarded to the same nurse for her training in Wales during the 1930s.They consist of a Gwent School of Nursing silver and enamel badge, still in its original retailers box, in excellent condition.(This badge is prone to enamel damage but this really is a superb example) The design consists of an enamel cross with a Lamp of Learning to the centre and Royal Gwent Hospital School .There are daffodils to each corner of the cross. Numbered 273 to the rear, hallmarked for JWT (James Walter Tiptaft) Birmingham 1937.
