Nightingale School of Nursing,St Thomas' Hospital,Silver Nurses Badge

Another beautiful silver and enamel nurses badge from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing of St Thomas' Hospital.Demand for these remains high and I'm afraid the price reflects this demand.

The enamel on this badge is in very good original condition with only one small chip to the enamel at the tip of the right arm of the cross
The pin, and clasp are good and a safety chain is in situ.It is engraved to the rear Nightingale School St Thomas Hospital Wendy M Lightbown 1950 ( I have tried to find this lady on the GNC register but the only reference I can find is that she married in 1951 and that a Wendy Mary Heywood is later registered in 1960 having trained at the Royal Cornwall Infirmary Truro?? She may have been affected by the married Nurse policy which required a nurse to quit upon marrying)
