A scarce early nurses badge for the Royal Victoria Hospital Folkestone.The small pendant badge is suspended from a brass safety pin type fixing(catch is slightly loose) It takes the form of a blue enamelled shield with a crown, bearing RVHF .Named to the rear for H Castle 1917-1920. This appears to be Hilda Cherrett Castle, Jersey Villa,7 Quested road Cheriton Folkestone who is recorded in the Members roll of the College of Nursing as having qualified from the RVH in 1920.Drop 41mm
